I love a good party, but I love a great theme party even more! And Mariah’s Sweet Sixteen beach theme celebration held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Newburgh, New York was exactly that! Besides the vibrant colors and decor the umbrella “mocktails” added to the festive vibe and were perfect for the mostly under age crowd.
One of my favorite moments of the night was the daughter/mother dance to the tune of Martina McBride’s “In My Daughter’s Eyes”. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house. Such a lovely moment!
There was also the “Sixteen Candles” ceremony where the birthday girl dedicated a candle to each of the important people in her life with a few word of gratitude.
Now that all the “mushy” stuff was out of the way, it was time to party! And what’s a great party without an awesome playlist.

And I’m pretty sure that no party is complete without the “Cha-Cha Slide”.
Everyone – young and old – had a fantastic time! Being able to capture those priceless and often hilarious moment is why I love what I do.
