This month’s Creativity Project theme is “Thankful”. It goes without saying, but there’s so much to be thankful for this month, especially for us in New Jersey + New York. Sometimes it takes something as drastic as a natural disaster to open our eyes to the many blessings we’re fortunate enough to enjoy every day. Surprisingly, the thing I’m most thankful for this month is not electricity, gas or running water – it’s community and the people that make up my community. The friendly strangers that greet me on my walks, the neighbors that are always quick to help out if there’s a problem, the municipal employees that keep our streets safe and clean. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: I love my neighborhood! And so I’m grateful that Hurricane Sandy spared us and we still have this beautiful place to call home and a wonderful family to share it with. To continue the circle, visit Buckeroomama for her take on this month’s theme.
