Confucious once said: choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. He never said it would be easy. My life may not be the most glamorous at the moment, but I definitely feel the most inspired I’ve been in a very long time. My brain is swimming with ideas that have come to me while sipping a fresh cup of jo’ in the mornings. When I took a hard, inquisitive look at this space, I realized I was writing about things that didn’t excite me. It’s no wonder I struggled with writer’s block. The bottom line is: photography excites me. Sharing what I learn about photography excites me. Pop culture, TV, films, art, fashion, design…those things EXCITE me! Fusing those interests alongside my photography work is something I’m still figuring out, but just the thought of what that might look like fuels me to work even harder (and with more enthusiasm) to bring that vision to life.
