Winans has been one of Kleber’s best friends for as long as I’ve known my husband. Actually, we all went to high school together! So this engagement session is dear to my heart! I’ve met a few of Winan’s girlfriends over the last 15+ years that I’ve known him, but when he initially introduced us to Juli, both Kleber and I had the feeling that she would be “the ONE”. And we were 100% right! I can’t imagine a more perfect match for Winans, someone that “gets him”, shares his same interests and is as passionately Colombian as he is! Not to mention, she is beautiful and has such a down-to-earth personality! We love Juli and absolutely love them together! They make an excellent team, but most importantly, they make each other so happy. I enjoyed photographing these two love birds for their engagement session. Since Juli is a school teacher and Winans initially asked her out with an “old school” love note when they first started dating, we wanted to incorporate the school theme into their engagement session photos. Their destination wedding was in Colombia over the summer, hence the travel theme you’ll see speckled throughout this session as well. And even though we couldn’t make it to the actual wedding (I was 8 months pregnant at the time!), it was absolutely beautiful and an epic start to their lives together!
