The Eventi Hotel’s Ventana Ballroom was a natural light photographer’s dream venue! Couldn’t have asked for a more fabulous event space or event for that matter. I loved everything about this gray and yellow gender neutral godh bharai/ baby shower. This was my first time photographing an event planned by the lovely Katherine Kommer of Baby Showers Inc. (back in May 2015), but every event since has been just as unique and beautiful. Can’t say enough great things about their wonderful design team! Whenever I’ve walked into one of their events, I know I’m in for a special treat…and lots and lots of gorgeous details!

I’m not going to lie…I was a little nervous going into this session! One toddler is often difficult enough, but twins!!!! Well that was a challenge in and of itself and as I suspected, they definitely made me work for these shots! Not only did I have to remember who was who, but also quickly learned that they each had their own unique personality! One loved to ham it up for the camera and the other was a little more camera shy. Regardless, these little bundles of energy were just too darn cute and made all that sweat equity pay off. Loved that we got to shoot this first birthday session right when the cherry blossoms started blooming at Warinanco Park. It was the perfect girly backdrop for these beautiful princesses and their parents!
This portrait session is special for me because this little boy holds a very special place in my heart! Christian is the first nephew born to our family. I remember waiting in that hospital while his mommy was in labor and getting to hold him mere minutes after he was born. From that very moment, our lives were changed for the better. Since then we’ve been blessed with five adorable little nieces and nephews, but he will always and forever be my first love. He never ceases to amaze me with his intelligence, talent and his giant heart! It’s been so remarkable watching him grow and transition from a baby to a handsome young boy! Christian – God has blessed you in so many ways! And he has blessed us tremendously by entrusting you to our family. May you always follow in God’s path and continue to make us proud. We love you always. |
