My pancakes may not be the prettiest, but they are my favorite breakfast treat! To continue the circle, check out Singwa’s blog.

Took me long enough to share this, but I couldn’t finish up my 2014 posts without sharing my annual session with the Martinez Clan (a.k.a. my sister-in-law’s family). Every year since I started my business, I set aside a session at the end of the year for their holiday card. With each year, we get more fun and creative… and this year was no exception! Because of the iffy weather this fall, we decided to keep the shoot indoors using off camera flash. We both wanted to top last year’s superhero shoot and I’m pretty sure we did with our fun “Elf” inspired shoot taken in their master bedroom. Not only was this an easy peasy session to shoot (didn’t require any moving around on my part), the kids had so much fun! I should probably start brainstorming for this year’s shoot, but it’s going to be so hard to top this one! Matriarch Liz and her beautiful family have been my clients for many years and family friends for even longer than that. I’ve had the pleasure of sharing in some of their many important milestones, from birthdays to graduations to weddings. At this point, we’re family! But the biggest milestone arrived last year when both of Liz’s daughters gave birth to baby girls just a few weeks apart! And since this was such a special year for them, they decided to have a session with the entire family for the holidays. Because the babies were only a few months old at the time and it was the middle of December, we opted to shoot the session in their lovely home using OCF (off-camera flash). I absolutely love how beautifully they coordinated their outfits for their elegant holiday portraits. And even though Christmas is long gone, I just had to share this beautiful multi-generational family session. |
