PORTRAIT OF THE WEEK // 10
52 Faces Project • Eddie

Meet Eddie – the first brave guy to volunteer in my 52 Faces Project …with a little push from his wife, of course!  It’s not the first time has been in front of my camera ( I photographed his family in a gorgeous sunflower field over a year ago), but it’s the first time he’s braved it alone.  And I think he did a splendid job! Now that he’s broken the ice, I hope more guys will participant in my little portrait project.

PORTRAIT OF THE WEEK // 9
52 Faces Project • Marilyn

There are some people that walk into a room and instantly set the place ablaze with their laughter and energy… Marilyn is one of them! I photographed her daughter’s sweet sixteen ages ago and I’m so happy that she reached out for the 52 Faces  Project, so she and I can have some one-on-one time with my camera. She had me cracking up the entire time.

THE CREATIVITY PROJECT // FURRY FRIENDS
A Photography Theme Blog Circle

I’m taking some artistic liberties with my interpretations of this month’s photography theme because my subjects  are neither furry or friendly. But since it’s not everyday that I  get to photograph wildlife in the bayous of Louisiana, I figured I’d share these from the recent swamp tour we took during our time in New Orleans.  It was both fascinating and absolutely terrifying to see so many alligators up close and personal!  To continue the circle, make sure to stop by S Badiyah’s blog to see her take on this month’s Creativity Project theme!

Life with Kaishon - Maddy! That is so cool! I am glad you could go on that awesome adventure. I loved looking at the alligators. Did they snap at you? I can’t wait to hear more about your trip! I am so thankful that you are able to live out your dreams and travel so much. What a joy!

Buckeroomama - Thanks for the tour, Maddy! It really did feel like I had a tour of the bayou through your photos. What a great capture of the croc slicing through the water; I hope you weren’t really that close and that it was captured with the help of a good zoom!

Pam D - Maddy, those are fantastic captures! I want to go to the bayou now (but I’m a little scared… haha!) The gator shots are excellent, but I think I like the turtles best.
