Asbury Park, NJ - Family Photography Session

This is the third year I’ve photographed this family and each time they are even cuter than the last! I love how they coordinate their outfits and how they always make sure to include their beautiful yorkie Annie in the photos each year.  This year we decided to take our session down to the Jersey Shore – Asbury Park Boardwalk to be exact!  It was the middle of October, so we practically had the boardwalk and beach to ourselves without it being too cold.  Asbury Park is such an awesome location for any kind of session. Between the sand, the rocks, the awesome murals and the charm of the boardwalk, there’s infinite backdrops to choose from and the possibilities are endless! We even found a mural than matched their outfits perfectly. Talk about a happy coincidence!

VENUS’ 60TH BIRTHDAY

What do you give the person in your life who deserves more than anything you could even imagine? The one who gives unconditionally without expecting anything in return?  You give her the gift of family along with a celebration to truly remember! We decided to surprise my beautiful mother-in-law Venus with a birthday dinner at Waterside Restaurant & Catering to celebrate this special milestone in her life.  We told her that her gift was a special weekend away that we had planned, complete with an overnight hotel stay, dinner at a fancy French restaurant, a day at the spa, followed by hair and makeup and a beautiful new dress for a “family photoshoot” with all her kids and grandchildren.  But the truth is we needed a reason to get her out of the house because we invited all her siblings from Florida for a surprise birthday dinner! And even though that was amazing (and not to mention, no easy feat!), we had an even bigger surprise in store:  her father, who traveled all the way from Ecuador to be a part of this very special night! It was the best gift we could give to the person who means so much to us all and deserve it all and so much more!

THE M FAMILY
Cross Estate Gardens • Bernardsville, NJ - Maternity Session

Winter tends to be our slowest time of the year for obvious reasons. The cold in the northeast can be quite brutal at times and families tend to save their portraits for warmer weather. But every once in a while I get to photograph a few brave souls (in more ways than one!) like this beautiful family. They were expecting a new addition to the family in March, so it was in the middle of February or never! After tragically losing their first son to cancer, they were blessed with another baby boy to love and cherish and wanted to document this moment in their family’s life. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph this special maternity session.  And I’m happy to report their little boy is as cute as can be and will be celebrating his first birthday very soon!

Roz - Thank you so much for sharing a piece of our story on your site Maddy. You captured such precious moments that we will never forget. Indeed our little dude has been a tremendous blessing and we will be celebrating his first birthday soon. I can’t believe it. Again thank you for (AS ALWAYS) such amazing photographs. Coming out on that freezing day and helping us get comfortable.
