It’s far from complete, but it’s starting to look cozier and more like “us” with each passing day. After much debate, we finally agreed on a sofa we could both enjoy: the Martha Stewart Club. I fell in love with its mocha finish and basketweave upholstery. He fell in love with its wider and comfortable […]

Tag Archives: Communal GlobalThe last time I met up with this fabulous group of women was exactly a year ago. Since another blogger meetup was long overdue, we decided to hit the road to the city of brotherly sisterly love: Philadelphia! Things have changed a lot since we last saw each other: Keeley is now Dr. Keeley Powell and […]

I want to be a part of your cool blogger circle : ) I love their smiles! That sandwich looks divine.

That’s so cool that you go to a blogger meet-up. I really want to do something like that around my part of the world. And I always find it disconcerting that you northern states dwellers can just hop on a train and head to a completely different state within a matter of a few hours. Texans? 1. We have no trains so we must rely on cars. 2. Lousiana is 2.5 hours away but there’s nothing interesting until you get to NOLA, 6 hours away. 3. If you go the other direction (west) you’ll be driving in Texas for days. I think they transportation up north is so neat and very enviable. Part of the reason I would love to MOVE up there! :)

I never thought of it, but I suppose you’re right! I’m a few hours drive from a few major cities: Philadelphia (2 Hours), NYC (15 mins), Washington DC (3 Hours), Boston (4 Hours). Surprisingly, I don’t take advantage of that too often. Even going to NYC is more of a hassle these days with the outrageous toll prices.
February 27, 2012 - 7:59 am
What fun! I would love to meet some of my blog friends–you, included! Someday . . .
February 27, 2012 - 9:16 am
I had such a fantastic time this weekend with you all! To Hannah from TX, it’s great living in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast where I’m within 5 hours of Boston, NYC, Philly, Baltimore and DC, but the traffic is wild and the cost of living can be a pain. I’ve been to TX several times and I admire your warmer weather and your open space. I guess you can’t have it all :)
February 27, 2012 - 9:32 am
How fun is that! It is so cool the way you can make friends through a blog. Looks like an amazing group of women!

Bernie, Keeley & Toya!! lol…wow… I signed up for Instagram back when I received my iTouch, but rarely used it because it wasn’t much fun without a Wi-Fi connection. But now that I joined the rest of the world and got an iPhone, it’s so much easier to keep up with all my social media outlets – Instagram included. I’m finding that it’s […]

Ooh great shots! I love them all, especially together, but the lights on the tree are my favorite! Instagram…totally addictive. Though thankfully (or not) I don’t have 3G, so can only use it when I’m around Wi-fi.
January 31, 2012 - 7:48 am
Is it bad that that is the only reason I want an iPhone . . . to play with Instagram?! I see friends use it all the time and it looks like so much fun! :)
January 31, 2012 - 8:17 am
I told my husband I didn’t want I iPhone – I really didn’t. I had no idea what I was going to be missing. I love that thing. Instagram is one of my favorites. These are so pretty.

Wonderful Instagram photos, Maddy. I got quite excited by Instagram, but after a while realised that I just don’t have enough time in my life for it. It’s a lot of fun though!
February 8, 2012 - 12:00 pm
I’m excited that instagram is finally coming to the android market (or at least according to the tech blogs). Soon as it’s up, I’m there! |
Tiffany B. - I love it as well, great job. I love how bright your living room is and that green pillow on the sofa. Thank you for sharing all the house photos.
Donna - I love it too! The peachy/cream curtain against the grey… the striped rug.. gallery wall.. I love it all! Can’t wait to see the rest.
Leia - It looks wonderful! I’ve been on the hunt for a carpet exactly like that, but couldn’t find one so settled for something else.
sandy - I love the black and white contrast! It’s beautiful Maddie!
Amy - Black & white with a splash of color makes me giddy–LOVE it!

Keeley @ My Life on a Plate - Great job! I love that you’re doing contemporary-ish/transitional-ish decorating in your traditional/colonial style home. Very nice. Clean lines, modern edge… good stuff!
Maddy {Mad Hearts Photography} - I have no idea what to call it (except a hodge podge of the things we like), but I’m glad it has a name-ish :) lol!
Maddy {Mad Hearts Photography} - Glad you noticed the legs – it was definitely one of the reasons I picked it. It gives it the more polished look that I wanted, without compromising on comfort :)

chavonne - I love it too! look at all the light that comes through your window
Jade @ Tasting Grace - It is a beautiful room! I love the little splashes of color. I’d love to have a room that looked like this, though somehow I doubt I’d manage to keep all that white looking clean!

JIN @ Love Loss & Lacquer - sooooo pretty
rooth - Beautiful – where is that coffee table from?!
